Who We Are

Harbor Homes' mission is to provide housing opportunities for individuals and families who are–or who are at risk of becoming–unhoused. We do this by creating supportive services and partnering with community organizations to expand programs that focus on our client’s health and wellness, leverage resources, and advocate for lasting solutions to the structural causes of homelessness. Our ultimate goal is to make homelessness on Martha’s Vineyard brief, rare, and non-recurring.  Volunteers are a valuable support for operating the winter shelter.

What We Do

Harbor Homes offers a continuum of homeless prevention programs and services that address the housing needs of low income program participants. These include a homeless prevention case worker who will meet with individuals and families who experience a housing crisis, a winter shelter, hotel respite for medically fragile individuals, and housing in a congregate setting.
