Opportunities From: Vineyard Volunteers

Help with event planning, day of event support, community and donor outreach.  The Hospice and Palliative Care of Martha's Vineyard Development and Fundraising team brings our community together through a variety of exciting annual events. We invite you to join us at one of our events if you have a desire to give back, connect with friends, and enjoy a fun event in support of Hospice and Palliative Care of MV. Help with office work, assemble durable medical equipment, assist with surveys, pick up Island Grown Initiative meals for patients and families.

 To ensure that patient care and administrative volunteers are equipped to be a member of a team that works with patients who are dying and their families, HPCMV requires that they complete extensive orientation and training, as well as agree to a routine background check.  It is important that these volunteers are informed about the history of hospice and specifically the ways in which HPCMV serves the Martha's Vineyard community.

Home visits for companionship, respite time for family/caregiver, light housework, meal prep, errands
